About me
I'm Alexander Torres Louzada, CTO at Starnorte and senior solutions architect, based in Rio de Janeiro. I have worked in technology for more than 30 years, and I still write code.
Since September 2023 I have been co-founder and Director of Technology & Development (CTO) at Starnorte, where I lead the architecture and technology of NavBus. I also run my own consultancy, Louzada.net, which I opened in October 2011. Through it I'm working with Transworld again, on the next generation of the system I built for them.
How I got here
I started at Netsimple Informática, in the early years of the commercial internet in Brazil.
From 2006 to 2011 I was development and IT manager at Transworld, an international moving company, where I built the tracking and ERP system that still runs its operation. When I left, I opened Louzada.net.
In the following years I founded two startup projects and was CTO of both. Leafmotion put event guests' photos on the big screen at festivals such as WebFestValda in Rio. Educação Interativa built learning platforms for schools. In 2018 I developed Um Novo Caminho, a guide app for a Rio de Janeiro City Hall program, and presented it at the launch.
From 2022 to 2025 I was co-founder and solutions architect of Tá Liso, a marketplace for local shops in several cities in Pará, which has since evolved into Tá Entregue. In 2023 I co-founded Starnorte. There I came up with ProElas, a protection app for women facing violence, and designed ViverCart, a screen for supermarket carts.
Since 2026 I have been coordinating CAD-RUA, a project developed together with IPPPS (Instituto de Políticas Públicas e Projetos Sociais) and Evolução Clínica e Consultoria, and selected by FAPERJ to be developed under its Prioridade Rio call. I am its coordinator and architect.
What I work on
Most of my work is solution architecture: deciding how a system should be split, what it should do first and how it connects to what already exists. I also lead the technical teams that build those systems, and I specialize in the advanced use of artificial intelligence technologies.
